Website Design If you are trying to attract visitors or potential customers to your website, a good design is the key to success. Have you ever left a website because of a bad design or been frustrated by a poor layout? The visual appeal and user-friendliness of a website is often just as important as its content. When creating a successful design, there are several things to keep in mind: the graphical appearance of the site, and the content and layout of each individual web page. Graphical Design When creating the graphical design of the site, I always try to get a feel for what the business or organization is about, and what kind of impression they want to leave with their visitors and potential customers. I then sit down at my computer, open up a blank document in Adobe Illustrator, and get to work. I never use a pre-built template or layout! Every website is customized for each client's needs. I am all about having a satisfied customer when the job is done. Content/Structure Once a good graphical design is in place, the task of developing and structuring the content on each individual page begins. The structure and content of each page is vital for improving the website's search engine optimization. Building a user-friendly link structure and making the site as easy to navigate as possible is important to the success of a website.
