About Adam Bates

My name is Adam Bates, and I live in The Plains, Ohio, just outside of Athens. In case somehow you managed to get to this page without knowing what I do, I have been working as a freelance website designer (and all around computer geek) in the Athens area since 2008. In the summer of 2008, I married my amazing wife and moved from Cambridge, Ohio to Athens, Ohio so that she could study at Ohio University. Between her homework and my websites, we usually stay pretty busy. We enjoy spending our free time playing Skip-Bo, going on long hikes, and riding our bikes on the Hocking Adena Bikeway. Earlier in 2008 I finished up two associate's degrees from Zane State College in Zanesville, Ohio. I earned one degree in Website Design, and another in Interactive Digital Media. Obviously, I am now putting my education to good use.  Something I always want people that I meet to know is that I am a Christian who takes my faith very seriously. I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it contains the only way of salvation for human beings (hence the verses at the bottom of the pages). That being said, I refuse to work with a company or organization that presents content contrary to what I believe. If your website will be displaying any foul language or inappropriate content, don't bother contacting me. I give God (the God of the Bible) all the credit for the success I have had as a website designer, and refuse to drag His holy name through the mud.
